The School Council came up with a fantastic idea of a summer concert to showcase the many talents at our school. They consulted with the pupils in each class for ideas and decided to ask CHAPS, the school PTA, to fund t-shirts and fabric marker pens for each child to design their own concert t-shirt. Parents were invited to each of the three performances of ‘Haddlesey Voices’ concerts and the School Council ran a competition to design the front cover of the programme. Mrs Bekah Lane, Class 3 Teacher commented: “The School Council have shown great teamwork and leadership skills to bring all elements of this production together. The pupils worked so hard to learn all the songs to put on such a performance and everyone of them was fantastic”.
A parent commented on email: “It was lovely to hear the children sing with such enthusiasm. I did shed a few tears as I always find it emotional listening to children sing. Each and every class was memorable for different reasons and its clear they’ve worked hard learning the songs and actions. They all delivered such a confident performance and it was a total pleasure to watch. I’m sure the teaching staff have put a lot of energy, effort and time into this and it’s much appreciated. What a high to the end the school year on.”
