The good old British weather was on form and Chapel Haddlesey Primary School and village came out in force to enjoy a day of activities, entertainment, food and drink. School parents volunteered to cook food, run stalls and even provided a DJ and MC service for the afternoon. The children particularly enjoyed the craft tent and the puppeteer who upcycled materials so the kids could create monsters which they then danced with, to music. The photo booth was popular, as was the face painter and support for a local 40’s singer Mollie. The photo shows one of the teachers, Mr Tom Marshall, who volunteered to get a soaking in the stocks, with the kids lining up to take their aim. The other photo shows the children with their upcycled artwork and finally a photo of the school children entertaining the crowds with some songs.
The whole afternoon raised approximately £500 for school funds
